Situated on a corner lot of only 20 meters by threescore meters, this concrete house places a large emphasis on the palette of materials, colors, finishes and textures used throughout its design. These elements combined to ensure a strong connection betwixt the building and its firsthand surroundings and also helps to facilitate the transitions betwixt the internal and external spaces.
The presence of large glazed panels and big gallery spaces further contributes to the creation of a seamless and natural experience. The house was designed in 2022 by Gianserra + Lima arquitectos and is located on the outskirts of the La Plata region in Argentine republic.
The interior spaces are organized on two floors with radically different proportions. The ground floor is big and spacious and contains all the social spaces, some of which are open and some of which are closed. The transition between them is smoothen and seamless, merely like the transition betwixt the deck and the backyard swimming pool and garden area. Past comparison, the upper flooring is small, compact and considerably less transparent, containing the private spaces. Nevertheless, the relationship with the outdoors remains potent.
